Suspect Sought in Tasing and Robbery Case

RENO, Nev. (Dec. 18, 2025) — The Reno Police Department is searching for a suspect accused of tasing and robbing a victim during an incident earlier this week.

Police say the robbery occurred near West Second Street and Keystone Avenue. According to investigators, the victim was driving home with another person when he stopped to pick up an additional passenger.

While en route, one of the suspects attempted to steal the victim’s cash. When the vehicle came to a stop, the victim exited the car, at which point a second suspect tased him in the back. Police said both suspects then fled the scene with the victim’s money and his vehicle.

Authorities have identified one of the suspects, but the second suspect remains outstanding. That suspect is described as a Hispanic adult male in his mid-30s to mid-40s.

The stolen vehicle is a red Pontiac Grand Am with an Arizona license plate. Contact the Reno Police Department if you have any information about the suspect or the auto.
