Two Women Arrested After Bar Fight in Carson City

Two women, ages 21 and 30, were arrested Tuesday night following a fight at a local bar, according to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched around 11:02 p.m. to a bar in the 100 block of East Telegraph Street for a report of a fight in progress. Officers spoke with a bouncer who said the two women had attempted to enter the bar without showing identification and became aggressive when denied entry. According to the bouncer, both women threw punches at him and other security staff.

When deputies interviewed the suspects, they claimed that men at the bar had pushed and hit them. During the conversation, one suspect repeatedly told the other to remain quiet. Deputies subsequently informed the women that they were indefinitely trespassed from the location.

The bartender also came forward, reporting that she had been pushed and struck by one of the women during the altercation. The deputy observed a red mark and swelling under her left eye. Another employee stated she tried to stop the fight and was struck, but managed to defend herself.

During the investigation, officers observed a red mark under the eye of one of the male bouncers and documented the scene. An anonymous patron provided video footage of the incident to deputies.

Deputies arrested both women after failing to heed their instructions. The 30-year-old was booked for suspicion of misdemeanor battery, obstructing an officer, and resisting arrest, while the 21-year-old faces two counts of battery.
