Kennedy Faces Scrutiny Over Nevada Political Campaigns

Ronda Nadine Baldwin-Kennedy, an attorney and perennial candidate, has drawn attention in Nevada politics after relocating back to Las Vegas in September 2022 following a 15-year absence in California. Her swift entry into Nevada races, filing to run for U.S. Senate within months of her return, has prompted criticism from some who label her a political “outsider.”

Kennedy, admitted to the California State Bar in December 2015, faced a 90-day suspension in early 2024 for ethical violations in multiple client cases. She completed the suspension and had her license restored in May 2024, but remains on probation until early 2025.

She is not licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada.

Her political history shows a pattern of repeated campaigns with limited success. In California, she ran for U.S. House in the 26th District in 2020 and for State Assembly District 44, and was unable to gain support.

In Nevada, she received 1.1% of the vote in the 2022 Republican primary for U.S. House District 3 and unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate in 2024. She initially filed for another House bid in 2026 but shifted to a campaign for Secretary of State.

Kennedy’s campaigns have occasionally created confusion, including social media posts misidentifying districts. She has also pursued legal action, suing Meta in 2023 for alleged election interference related to her campaigns.
