Authorities in Washington state say an abandoned vehicle discovered Friday night near Port Angeles belongs to a Nevada man reported missing just hours earlier.
According to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located a 2001 Dodge Durango around 8:15 p.m. on Friday, parked off the roadway on Deer Park Loop Road near U.S. Highway 101, about 18 miles east of Port Angeles, just east of the C’est Si Bon Restaurant.
Investigators later determined the SUV belongs to 24-year-old Sage Hunter Greigo-Long of Fallon, whose family had reported him missing roughly one hour before deputies located the vehicle. Authorities said there was no sign of Greigo-Long at the scene.
Greigo-Long left his home in Fallon approximately 36 hours before the discovery of the vehicle, according to investigators. Officials believe he was likely on his way to work at the time of his departure.
Deputies say it is unclear why Greigo-Long would have traveled to Washington state, and the circumstances surrounding the abandoned vehicle remain under investigation.
Greigo-Long is a white male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 160 pounds, with long brown hair, blue eyes, and a beard.
Investigators also noted that Greigo-Long legally changed his name in 2021. His previous name was Sage R. Cammack.
Anyone with information about Greigo-Long’s whereabouts should contact the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office at 360-417-2262.
