More than 40 years ago, Karen Hobbs McLaughlin’s life ended inside her Las Vegas apartment near Twain and Cambridge. Karen, 31, a hairdresser, was found dead in her bedroom by her roommate on October 18, 1983.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office determined she was strangled to death and suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Authorities reported no signs of forced entry, robbery, or disturbance in the apartment, leading detectives to believe the person responsible was someone Karen knew and trusted.
Despite the decades, the case remains unsolved. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) investigators continue to seek information.
