A Reno man is facing multiple charges, including DUI causing substantial bodily harm, following a three-vehicle crash Thursday evening that left one person in critical condition, according to Sparks Police.
The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of East Greg Street and Veterans Parkway, where the roadway becomes Sparks Boulevard.
Police said a BMW traveling northbound on Veterans Parkway lost control and ran a red light, colliding with a Dodge Charger and a Mini Cooper in the intersection.
The driver of the Dodge Charger received treatment for minor injuries. Three people in the Mini Cooper had to go to a local hospital, where one remains in critical condition, authorities said.
The driver of the BMW, identified as 45-year-old Jeremy Shriver of Reno, was also taken to a hospital for treatment before being booked into the Washoe County Jail. Shriver is facing multiple charges, including DUI, causing substantial bodily harm, and reckless driving.
