Reno Man Sentenced to Prison for Pedophilia

A 64-year-old Reno resident has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the sexual abuse of an 8-year-old girl, according to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.

David Fritsche Jr. entered guilty pleas to attempted lewdness by a person over 18 with a person under 14 and attempt to use or permit a minor under age 14 to produce pornography. He will be eligible for parole after serving 10 years.

The case began in February of 2025 when Reno Police officers responded to Fritsche’s home following a report that a man was physically victimizing a child. Fritsche and his family were longtime acquaintances of the victim’s family, with interactions spanning many years.

A critical piece of evidence was a video recovered by the victim’s father from Fritsche’s phone. The footage showed Fritsche pulling down the child’s pants while she slept and lingering with his hand between her legs.

Further forensic examination of the device revealed additional disturbing content, including AI-generated nude images depicting females and baby dolls in explicit sexual positions and situations.
