Nevada Sees Increased Voters in January

Nevada saw a net gain of 12,305 active registered voters in January 2026, according to a report released Feb. 6 by Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar. The increase brings the total number of active registered voters statewide to 2,128,758, representing a month-to-month increase of 0.58 percent compared to December 2025.

Nonpartisan voters accounted for the largest share of the growth, with active registrations increasing by 11,203 voters, or a 1.42 percent jump. Republican registrations rose by 192 voters, a 0.03 percent increase, while Democratic registrations grew by 711 voters, or 0.12 percent.

The Independent American Party saw an increase of 145 active registered voters, representing a 0.16 percent gain, while the Libertarian Party of Nevada experienced a slight decrease of two voters, or 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, registered voters affiliated with other minor political parties increased by 56, or a 0.16 percent increase.

As of January 2026, Nevada’s active registered voters include 799,056 Nonpartisan voters, making up 37.54 percent of the electorate, 596,356 Republicans (28.01 percent), 593,740 Democrats (27.89 percent), 90,436 members of the Independent American Party (4.25 percent), 15,000 members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.70 percent), and 34,170 voters affiliated with other minor political parties (1.61 percent).
