Man Arrested After Incline Village Home Invasion

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man following a reported home invasion and a series of attempted break-ins on Sunday morning in Incline Village.

Deputies were dispatched just after 7 a.m. to a residence on Oriole Way after a homeowner reported hearing a loud crash and discovering an unknown man inside the home. The resident hid before the suspect noticed them and called 9-1-1.

Investigators said a doorbell camera captured the suspect attempting to kick in the door, losing his footing, and falling on his backside during the attempt. By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had fled the area.

After canvassing the area, deputies arrested 28-year-old Jonathan Francisco Riofrio. He was booked into jail on charges of home invasion and attempted home invasion, as well as possession of burglary tools and trespassing.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to the incident should contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office at (775) 785-9276.
