A routine drive toward Donner Pass slowed abruptly on Thursday after a truck pulling a trailer loaded with generators jackknifed at an eastbound Interstate 80 off-ramp, temporarily blocking access and forcing drivers to reroute.
The crash occurred at the eastbound I-80 off-ramp to Donner Gate, where the truck and trailer ended up blocking the ramp area. There were no injuries reported.
As crews worked to clear the scene, the Donner Gate on-ramp back to eastbound I-80 was temporarily closed.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
