Two Mexican Nationals Charged With Illegal Reentry

Two Mexican nationals with prior criminal records stand accused by the Department of Justice of illegally residing in the United States following previous deportations.

Prosecutors say 33-year-old Victor Alfonso Cabada-Landeros and 42-year-old Ezequiel Lopez-Fuentes were arrested during a targeted Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation on Jan. 21 in Las Vegas.

Court documents show Cabada-Landeros was deported in February 2015 and again in November 2019. He has prior felony convictions in Clark County, including conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act and illegal reentry after deportation.

Lopez-Fuentes has been deported by ICE on four separate occasions, with his most recent removal occurring in June 2023, according to the DOJ. His criminal history includes convictions for unlawful delivery of heroin in Portland, Oregon, and trafficking a controlled substance in Clark County.

If convicted, they each face up to 10 years in federal prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $250,000.
