First responders responded to a bus crash on Interstate 80 eastbound at USA Parkway near the Storey–Washoe County line on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson for the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 2:40 p.m. when the bus lost its brakes while exiting onto USA Parkway. Investigators say the bus veered into the northbound lanes, then crossed back into the southbound lanes, sideswiping a truck before coming to rest on its side.
The driver was the only person on board at the time of the crash and suffered minor injuries. There were no other injuries.
The cause of the brake failure remains under investigation.
