Sparks, Nev. — Nevada State Capitol Police investigated a suspicious package Wednesday morning after being discovered near the intersection of Battle Born and Galletti Ways, close to the Lake’s Crossing building in Sparks.
The package was reported just after 9:30 a.m., prompting an immediate response from law enforcement. As a precaution, roads in the surrounding area were temporarily closed while officers assessed the situation and ensured public safety.
The Nevada State Capitol Police K9 unit examined the item. After a thorough evaluation, officers determined the package did not contain any hazardous materials and posed no threat to the public.
Following the all-clear from the K9 unit, road closures in the area were lifted approximately one hour after the report.
