State Sees Drop in Roadway Fatalities in 2025

Nevada recorded fewer roadway deaths in 2025 compared to the previous year, according to the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety’s December 2025 Statewide Fatal Report.

Preliminary data shows 381 people were killed on Nevada roads last year, down from 420 in 2024, a 9.3percent decrease. December 2025 alone saw 30 fatalities, compared to 33 in December 2024. There were 361 fatal crashes in 2025, compared with 381 the prior year.

Clark County led the state with 239 deaths, while other counties reported lower numbers, including Washoe with 69, Douglas with 52, and Lyon with eight. Smaller counties, such as Storey and Lander, each recorded a single fatality.
