NEVADA — Nevada workers saw the sharpest increase in hourly pay in the nation over the past year, according to a new study based on U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
The analysis, released by Unit4, found that Nevada’s average hourly wage rose from $30.60 in 2024 to $32.55 in 2025, marking a 6.37 percent increase, the highest year-over-year growth of any state.
The study compared average hourly wages from 2024 to 2025 and calculated percentage changes for each state to determine where workers are seeing the most significant pay gains. Nevada outpaced every other state, signaling strong wage growth amid ongoing labor market pressures.
Researchers say rising wages have become a key source of financial relief in 2025, particularly as the cost of living continues to climb. High rent prices, elevated grocery costs, and increasing expenses for healthcare and childcare are stretching household budgets across the country.
