RENO, Nev. (Dec. 23, 2025) — Authorities have released new details following a car crash into a home near the intersection of Katherine Drive and Stewart late Monday night.
Reno police said officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop after observing a vehicle pull out without headlights. The driver then sped off erratically. A short time later, officers located the vehicle after it had crashed into a house, causing significant damage.
Police said the driver fled the scene before officers arrived. NV Energy crews also responded after the vehicle damaged a power pole.
The condition of anyone who may have been inside the home at the time of the crash is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
