The dean of the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Education and Human Development, Donald Easton-Brooks, has been placed on leave after a vote of no confidence by faculty last month.
The vote of no confidence followed allegations of bullying and unprofessional conduct against Easton-Brooks. UNR President Brian Sandoval and Executive Vice President and Provost Jeffrey Thompson announced that Dr. Jannet Vreeland is stepping out of retirement to serve as Acting Dean in the interim.
Vreeland has been a faculty member at UNR for more than 30 years.
