A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday evening that involved five vehicles at the intersection of East Charleston Boulevard and South Christy Lane, Las Vegas police said.
The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. when a Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Charleston began to make a southbound turn onto Christy Lane, directly in the path of an eastbound Yamaha MT09 motorcycle and an Infiniti G37. The front of both the Yamaha and Infiniti struck the front of the Chevrolet in the intersection, causing all three vehicles to face eastbound.
The Chevrolet pickup truck caught on fire as a result of the collision.
The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle during the crash and came to rest on the roadway. Debris from the Chevrolet’s truck bed landed on a Toyota Highlander at the intersection, and a Mazda 3 traveling westbound behind the Chevrolet, causing damage to both vehicles.
Emergency medical personnel responding to the scene determined the Yamaha rider was beyond medical intervention and pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver of the Infiniti, the driver of the Toyota, and the Toyota’s front passenger were transported to the hospital and treated for injuries ranging from minor to substantial, police said.
According to authorities, none of the drivers involved in the crash showed signs of impairment. This incident marks the 38th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas area for 2026.
