Two Arrested After Family Fight

Two Carson City men were arrested early Monday following a reported family dispute that escalated into assaults on deputies.

Brian Sandoval, 28, faces charges including felony battery by a prisoner for allegedly spitting on an officer, gross misdemeanor battery on a protected person, and misdemeanor obstructing and resisting. His father, 60-year-old German Flores Sandoval, was arrested for gross misdemeanor battery on a protected person and misdemeanor obstructing an officer after allegedly interfering with deputies.

Deputies responded to a Conte Drive residence around 12:43 a.m., where the younger Sandoval was intoxicated and in a fight. During the arrest, he became combative, kicked a deputy, and spat on an officer’s vest, while his father attempted to intervene.
