Virginia City will host its first-ever kilted 5K on Saturday, April 11, organized by the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans.
Participants will race through a historic course celebrating Scottish heritage and community spirit. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., with the race starting at 10 a.m.
A whiskey tasting follows at 2 p.m. at the Firehouse Grill and Saloon, with tickets available separately or bundled with race registration.
Proceeds will benefit the Great Basin Highland Games, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving ancestral traditions.
