Gov. Joe Lombardo has appointed Michael Miles as Acting Executive Director of the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board, according to a news release issued Thursday, March 19.
Miles will step into the role on Monday, March 30, taking over for James Humm, who has been appointed director of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy. Miles has served as the Deputy Director of the board since January 2020.
Before joining the Cannabis Compliance Board, he worked for nearly four years in the Nevada Attorney General’s Office and previously practiced law in the private sector.
Miles is also a U.S. Navy veteran, having served for more than a decade.
