A driver was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a rollover crash in east Sparks, according to the Sparks Police Department. The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. in the area of Vista Boulevard and Whitewood Drive.
Police say a preliminary investigation indicates a single vehicle was traveling north on Vista Boulevard when it left the roadway just north of Whitewood Drive. The vehicle struck a tree and other landscaping before rolling onto its side.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not immediately known. Authorities said the driver cooperated with officers at the scene, and alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
