New Details Released on Reno Shooting and Standoff

Reno Police have released new details following a Saturday afternoon shooting and barricade situation on Denslowe Drive.

Officers say the incident occurred just after 4 p.m. when reports came in of a man firing a gun on Denslowe Drive. Upon arrival, officers found one victim had been shot in the ankle, while a second victim was injured during the encounter but not struck by gunfire.

Both received treatment for their injuries.

Police say the suspected shooter ran into a nearby apartment, prompting the creation of a perimeter and the evacuation of residents. Investigators also obtained a search warrant for the apartment.

Anthony Watts, 21, surrendered. Officers arrested him on an unrelated warrant.

The suspected shooter, 21-year-old Tosh Howe, later surrendered without incident. Howe faces multiple charges, including battery with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, assault with a deadly weapon, and coercion with a deadly weapon.
