A recent study from WalletHub has ranked Nevada as one of the least educated states in the country, placing it 46th out of 50.
WalletHub evaluated states on 18 factors, including educational attainment, school quality, and achievement gaps across gender and race. The study highlights the strong link between education and economic opportunity, noting that states with higher-quality education tend to offer better career prospects and higher earnings.
The study ranked Nevada 46th for educational attainment and 36th for overall quality of education.
Across the U.S., the five most educated states are Massachusetts, Vermont, Maryland, Connecticut, and Colorado. The five least educated states, along with Nevada, include West Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
