Washoe County authorities are responding to a rollover crash involving a cattle truck on State Route 447 near Nixon. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 2 p.m., prompting the closure of the highway between Empire Ranch Road and Marble Bluff Road.
Nevada State Police Highway Patrol confirmed that the truck rolled over at Mile Marker 19, leaving cattle scattered across the roadway. Some of the animals were reportedly injured, while others were wandering, creating a traffic hazard.
Troopers have not yet released details on the nature or extent of injuries to the vehicle’s occupants, and it remains unclear exactly how many cattle were involved in the crash.
