Three people remain jailed after authorities say they helped steal two semi-truck trailers carrying more than $500,000 worth of cargo from the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.
According to the Storey County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), deputies learned on Jan. 29 of the theft of two semi-truck trailers from the industrial complex. Investigators coordinated with the trailer owner and, with assistance from the Sparks Police Department, located the stolen trailers in an industrial area in Sparks.
Detectives with SCSO, along with Sparks Police and the Regional Crime Suppression Unit, began surveillance on the trailers. The following day, Jan. 30, an SCSO detective observed a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle approach one of the stolen trailers, hook it up, and drive away from the area.
Sparks Police patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on both vehicles shortly afterward. Three suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Washoe County Jail.
Those arrested are Arashdeep Singh, 21, of Fremont, California; Deepindeer Singh, 26, of Manteca, California; and Harman Pal Singh, 25, of Lodi, California. Each is charged with possession of stolen property valued at $100,000 or more and attempted possession of stolen property valued at $100,000 or more.
Authorities recovered approximately $500,000 worth of stolen product as a result of the investigation. The SCSO says the case remains active.
In a separate announcement, the SCSO also released its patrol statistics for January 2026. Deputies responded to 2,034 incidents during the month, including 683 calls for service, 1,351 deputy-initiated incidents, 844 traffic stops, 154 cases or reports, 67 arrests, and 332 citations issued.
