Reno, Nev. — An apartment on Linden Street was left uninhabitable after a vehicle crashed into the building Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
First responders were called to the scene around 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 after reports that a woman suffered a medical episode, accidentally pressed the gas pedal, and drove into the apartment building. Officials said one resident, who uses a wheelchair, was inside the unit at the time along with a dog. Neither was injured.
First responders took the driver to the hospital. Her condition is unknown.
Authorities say the affected apartment is currently unlivable, but the remainder of the building remains structurally intact.
