Reno Police Recover Human Remains

RENO, Nev. — The Reno Police Department has recovered human remains in the area of Wedekind Road near the U.S. 395 underpass, authorities confirmed.

According to an RPD spokesperson, they do not suspect foul play in the death. Police said the body appeared to have been in the area for an extended period of time.

The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office is now handling the investigation and working to determine the identity of the individual, as well as the cause and manner of death.
