LYON COUNTY, Nev. (Dec. 26, 2025) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says a familiar holiday troublemaker is now officially in custody.

In a press release, deputies revealed they “captured” a 67-year-old green-haired suspect known as “The Grinch,” who was wanted for a lengthy list of alleged crimes, all delivered with a festive twist.

The suspect was wanted for burglary, home invasion, grand larceny, petit larceny, possession of stolen property, operating an unregistered vehicle, and driving without a valid license.” Authorities denied the suspect bail.

Deputies described the suspect as standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 245 pounds, with green hair and yellow eyes. He was last known to be frequenting areas around Lyon County.

The sheriff’s office said the announcement also serves as a reminder that deputies remain on patrol throughout the holiday season, keeping communities safe while keeping an eye out for both real-world crime and a little festive mischief.
