MINDEN, Nev. (Dec. 12, 2025) – Douglas County authorities are actively searching for a young girl last seen riding a scooter southbound on Highway 395 near Silver City RV Park early Friday morning.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), the report came in at approximately 7:03 a.m. Deputies responded to the area and located the scooter, but not the child.
The girl is elementary school age, around 9 years old. She has light brown, curly hair that reaches her shoulders and was wearing a black mini skirt, an olive green backpack, and Converse shoes. She was not wearing leggings or pants.
The Sheriff’s Office continues to search the area and is asking the public for any information that could help locate the child. Anyone with information should call DCSO dispatch at 775-782-5126 or dial 9-1-1.
